"You can feel the difference immediately. Nothing else compares."
HOW SABBE WAS BUILT
A family idea.
Built slowly.
Built right.
From a university business plan in 2013 to national media coverage in 2024, this is the story behind every pair. No investors. No shortcuts. Just a family that believed in building something that would last.
"If we do it, we do it 10 out of 10."
— Andreas Org, Founder
"You can tell this wasn’t rushed. Everything feels considered."
"The story made me curious. The product made me stay."
THE BEGINNING
Built to last. For men who keep going.
A family-built brand, designed in Europe and fulfilled in the United States.
The first idea appeared in a university business plan in 2013. More than a decade later, that idea became August Sabbe.
Built without outside investors, shaped by persistence, and refined through years of testing, the goal has always remained the same: create underwear that men can rely on every day.
OUR STORY
How was the August Sabbe brand born?
August Sabbe was not built overnight. It was built step by step through persistence, family, discipline, and belief.
Thank You, August Sabbe
Long before there was a brand, there was a name. August Sabbe stood for resilience, loyalty, and the courage to endure when others would have given up. That spirit became the foundation of the brand.
A University Business Plan
The first idea was born during a university business plan project. The concept was simple: create a men's underwear brand built around quality, durability, and purpose. At the time, it existed only on paper, but the foundation of the brand was already taking shape.
The Idea Refused to Die
The founder began looking for people who could help bring the concept to life. The conversations never turned into a business, but the idea refused to disappear. Looking back, those early discussions became the first building blocks of August Sabbe.
Searching for the Right Name
Before August Sabbe, there were countless possibilities. The goal was to find a name that felt strong, timeless, and meaningful.
After countless possibilities, one name kept standing out: August Sabbe.
The Trademark Was Registered
Before moving forward, we took the time to understand the family history and secure the rights to the name properly. Respect came before business. This was the moment the idea became a real brand.
The First Office Bunker
The first workspace was not a traditional office. It was an apartment we had purchased as a side project and were renovating ourselves at the time. At the same time, it served as our temporary office. Rather than renting separate office space, we chose to keep costs low and invest our resources into building the brand. The plan was simple: finish the renovation, sell the apartment, and reinvest the profits into August Sabbe. It wasn't glamorous, but it was where the brand began to take shape.
Samples, Testing, and Better Decisions
The product journey started with samples, fabric tests, mistakes, and many lessons.
We tested materials, studied fit, and refined the product until it felt right. Every sample brought us one step closer to the product we wanted to create.
Bringing the Brand to Life
The goal was to create a visual identity that felt different from ordinary men's underwear brands. The packaging and photography had to feel confident, clean, and memorable. This was the first time the brand began to look the way we had imagined it.
The Sabbe Box Design
The box was designed to reflect the same values as the product itself: simplicity, durability, and attention to detail. From the beginning, we wanted opening a Sabbe box to feel like more than just receiving underwear.
The First Sabbe Products Arrived
After delays, uncertainty, and a long wait, the first products finally arrived. For the first time, people could see, touch, and wear what had existed only in our minds for years.
The First Breakthrough
A feature in one of Estonia's leading business newspapers brought the first major wave of orders. The response confirmed what we had believed from the beginning: men were willing to invest in underwear that was built to last. It marked a turning point for the brand.
Growing Beyond Expectations
What started as an idea was now leaving our small office every day. Orders kept coming in, and every free corner slowly filled with products waiting to be packed and shipped. It proved that quality, consistency, and a clear brand story can build real trust.
The Long Term Vision
The ambition is bigger than selling underwear. The goal is to build a trusted brand known for quality, durability, and lasting value. One day, we aim to become a publicly traded company, allowing those who believe in August Sabbe to become part of its future.
WHERE IT STARTED
A container home in Võrumaa.
A small container home in the Estonian countryside became our first headquarters. No co-working space, no investors, no runway — just family life and brand building happening side by side..
"We didn't start this brand to chase trends. We started it to solve a real problem everyday
comfort that works without distraction — every day."
That container home is still there. It reminds us every day why we started, and what we're building toward.
THE PRINCIPLE
Build fewer things but build them to last.
August Sabbe Underwear is built on a clear idea: we didn't come here to fill shelves. Every choice we make from fabric to stitching is tested with one question: will this still feel right months from now?
If the answer is no, it doesn't make it into our collection. That's not a marketing position. It's how we've made every single decision.
Designed in Europe — where detail still matters and craftsmanship is a baseline, not a selling point.
Fulfilled in the United States — Fulfilled from California. Fast, tracked delivery across the US.
Tested for longevity — every fabric and stitch evaluated for long-term wear, not just day one.

DESIGNED IN EUROPE · DELIVERED IN THE US
